Bill Williams

Bill Williams
Chief Executive Officer 
Prior to joining Generous Giving in January 2008, Bill Williams was vice president-BellSouth Technology Group. During his 33-year career with BellSouth Corporation, he held numerous leadership positions in many disciplines including planning, strategy, marketing, operations, new business development, and finance. Bill holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, an MBA from Georgia State University, and is an M.I.T. Senior Executive Fellow. His spiritual leadership spans 35 years, and he currently serves as an elder at NorthPoint Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. Bill and his wife, Regina, live in Atlanta; they have been married 35 years. They have three grown sons and two daughters-in-law.

 
Todd Harper

Todd Harper
President
As one of the founders of Generous Giving, Todd Harper has been actively engaged in spreading the biblical message of generosity for more than 10 years. In his current role as president, Todd acts as the key spokesperson, managing relationships with givers and implementing strategies for advancing the generosity message. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and entrepreneurship from Baylor University and comes out of an 11-year career with Campus Crusade for Christ International, where he served in Russia, Yugoslavia, and in the United States. Prior to joining Generous Giving, Todd was a partner in an investment management firm, advising high net worth clients on growing and using wealth wisely. Todd's passion is to disciple others, and given his extensive experience in ministry leadership, major donor development, and philanthropic advising, he is particularly suited to encourage Christians to excel in the grace of giving. He and his wife, Collynn, and their five children live in Orlando, Florida.

 
Julie Wilson

Vice President, Communications
Julie Wilson specializes in providing clarity, focus, and warm guidance in her role as a messaging and communication specialist. She brings to Generous Giving her 13 years of experience as a visionary strategist and start-up team builder with Priority Associates, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, committed to helping professionals find balance in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives. Most recently, she was the messaging coach and emcee for the launch of Revolve, a national tour and conference for teenage girls, which attracted over 38,000 attendees in its first season. Julie earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and a certificate of biblical studies from the International School of Theology. Julie and her husband, Gary, live in Orlando, Florida.

Brad Formsma

Brad Formsma
Vice President
Brad Formsma is vice president of Generous Giving, interacting with givers and facilitating events. As founder and president of the design and construction firm Meadow Green Landscapes, Brad's passion to give has grown along with his company over the years. Throughout his career, the Lord graciously has provided Brad with a flexible schedule that allows him significant ministry opportunities throughout each day. In April of 2007, Brad sensed the Lord prompting him to sell the company to be available to serve full time with Generous Giving. He is passionate about teaching Christians about the joy of giving, and he enjoys building relationships with givers. Brad serves on the board of trustees of the West Michigan Christian Foundation and the Haggai Institute. He holds a bachelor's degree in management from Spring Arbor University. He lives with his wife, Laura, and three children in Ada, Michigan.

 

David Gonzales
Vice President
David Gonzales is vice president of Generous Giving, interacting with givers and facilitating events. He has had an eclectic career, as an entrepreneur in both low and high tech business, independent movie production, and finally ministry. During his 5 years on Young Life staff, David had the privilege of working with many generous givers and saw firsthand their deep faith and joy in giving. This ministry experience changed his life and is the reason he's so excited about being a part of the Generous Giving team. He played on the Missouri State University Tennis Team where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business. David, his wife, Christie, and their 3 children live in Austin, Texas.

 
Cindy Halsted

Cindy Halsted
Vice President
Cindy Halsted is vice president of Generous Giving, interacting with givers and facilitating events. Cindy has 17 years of leadership experience in various ministry, church, and foundation contexts in New York City, Orlando, and nationally. She is passionate about teaching Christians the joy of giving and she enjoys building relationships with givers of all levels. Cindy, her husband, Bruce, and their three children, live in Orlando, Florida.

 

Matthew Mancinelli
Vice President of Strategic Partnerships
Matthew Mancinelli is responsible for developing and leading the strategy of leveraging Generous Giving's experiences and resources to an expanding number of givers. He seeks to cultivate and develop relationships with ministries, churches, and strategic partners to facilitate transformation in as many givers as possible. Mancinelli earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Literature and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where he currently serves as part of the alumni council. He has traveled and worked in over 30 countries on four continents, many of which while assisting George Verwer, founder of Operation Mobilization. He comes to Generous Giving from the Dalit Freedom Network, where he most recently served as the Director of External Relations, overseeing publications and marketing, working with major donors, and traveling often to India.

Allison Beck

Allison Beck
Conference & Events Operations Manager
Allison Beck brings meeting and event planning experience from over 10 years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in sales and catering. Originally from Maine, Allison earned her bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University and then spent five years working in promotions and marketing with smooth jazz radio stations in Cincinnati and Virginia. Allison lives in Orlando, Florida and is a member at First Presbyterian Church where she is a volunteer leader with the ministry of Jobs Partnership and has had the opportunity to participate in several mission trips.

 
Or Cingilli

Or Cingilli
Director of Technology
Or Cingilli is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a comprehensive technological and operational strategy for Generous Giving. This includes participating in and contributing to strategic discussions, working closely with and managing technology vendor relationships, and overseeing all technical projects to aid Generous Giving in fulfilling its mission and operational goals. Cingilli has worked for various nonprofit organizations in Chattanooga, Tennessee, defining and applying technology strategies. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Ladonna, and their three children.

 
Melinda Eller

Melinda Eller
Business & Finance Manager
Melinda Eller has served in the position of business and finance manager since 2003. She attended Dalton College and received a bookkeeping certificate from Walker Technical Institute in Rock Spring, Georgia. An active member of her church, Melinda has taught Sunday school for many years. She also serves as church librarian and is active in a group called Christians in Action, which provides home repairs for people in the church and in needy communities throughout the South. She and her husband, LeBron, live in Chickamauga, Georgia. They have three children, two married and one at home attending college.

 
Ivette Marrero-Edwards

Ivette Marrero-Edwards
Executive Assistant to Todd Harper
Ivette Marrero-Edwards brings 20 plus years of administrative support to her role as executive assistant and office manager at Generous Giving. She is originally from the New York /New Jersey area and relocated to Orlando, Florida over 10 years ago. She has worked with executives of various levels at corporations including Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey, Tupperware Corporation in Orlando, Florida, and most recently was the Executive/Personal Assistant to the CEO/Chairman of an independent entertainment company and vice president of Sales of a premium cosmetic brush company based in Korea. Ivette is the proud mother of a teenage son.

 

Josiah Goff
Media Content Coordinator
Josiah Goff serves as Media Content Coordinator for Generous Giving. He joins the team with a background in writing, web development and graphic design, and is responsible for maintaining website content, producing and editing video, overseeing the bi-monthly online newsletter, and assisting with communication team projects. Josiah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing in Youth Ministry and Music, from Tennessee Temple University.

 
Cathy Matherly

Communications Coordinator
Cathy Matherly comes to Generous Giving from the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, where she worked for nine years as an educator. She was responsible for managing a nationally recognized home school program as well as writing science curriculum. In her current duties at Generous Giving, she is responsible for product development, inventory and distribution, and the coordination of publications and communications projects. Cathy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor's degree in environmental studies. She lives in Whitwell, Tennessee.

 
Ritchie Scott

Ritchie Scott
Network Support Analyst
Ritchie Scott is Generous Giving's network administrator. His responsibilities include installing and maintaining software and hardware systems. He comes to Generous Giving after having worked in the Information Technology department as the senior client architect for the world's largest carpet manufacturer for 11 years. Ritchie is a graduate of Dalton State and Covenant College. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in Dalton, Georgia with their two sons.

 
Diane Talley

Executive Assistant to Bill Williams
Diane Talley has been with Generous Giving and The Maclellan Foundation since 1998. As Bill's assistant, she is responsible for administrative duties and day-to-day support for the office of the president and his relationships. She previously worked for 19 years as assistant buyer/franchise coordinator and event planner with The Krystal Company, a fast-food restaurant chain headquartered in Chattanooga, Tenn. Diane and her husband, Wayne, are natives of Chattanooga where they are both active in their church and community. They have one son and a daughter-in-law.

Laurence H. Powell
Chairman of the Board
Laurence (Larry) H. Powell is the president of Powell Family Enterprises, LLC, a private equity investment company in Atlanta, Ga. He served as president of Powell & Company Insurance from 1978 to 1991, when it sold to AON Risk Services, Inc. of Georgia, a subsidiary of AON.

Larry has invested in and served on the boards of a number of private companies. He currently serves as chairman of the board of Generous Giving and as a trustee of the Maclellan Foundation. He received a BBA from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Georgia State University. Larry and his wife, Betsy, reside in Atlanta.

 
Daryl J. Heald

Daryl J. Heald
Daryl Heald started in commercial real estate with the Allen Morris Co. and then spent four years at the Team Resources consulting firm, both in Atlanta, Ga. He later began serving as associate trustee and executive committee member of The Maclellan Foundation. In 2000, Heald helped to launch Generous Giving, a ministry working to motivate Christians of all income levels toward greater biblical generosity. He currently serves as Director of Generosity with The Maclellan Foundation as well as serving on the boards of Crown Financial Ministries, Excellence in Giving, ProVision Foundation and the Haggai Institute and is an elder at Lookout Mountain (Tenn.) Presbyterian Church. Heald holds a B.S. degree in economics from Westmont (Calif.) College and has been a featured speaker at the Southeastern Council of Foundations, TimeOut, The Gathering, Professionals in Grant Making and other conferences. He and his wife, Cathy, live in Lookout Mountain, Ga., with their six children.

 
Hugh O. Maclellan, Jr.

Hugh O. Maclellan, Jr.
Hugh O. Maclellan, Jr. serves as president of The Maclellan Foundation in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a 60-year old world leader in Christian grant making. He received a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance.

The Maclellan Foundation's mission is to aggressively leverage The Great Commission by working with over 1,000 organizations worldwide. For the past 20 years, Hugh and the Foundation have initiated and hosted World Strategy Conferences and Global Briefings to help Christian major donors see what God is doing around the world and how to be part of it.

Hugh has also served as chairman of The Jesus Film Development Board for 12 years and is an elder at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. Hugh and his wife, Nancy, have 4 children and 14 grandchildren and live on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.

 
David H. Wills

David H. Wills
David H. Wills has been the president of The National Christian Foundation (NCF), based in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1998. His passions are centered on generosity and eternity, and, therefore, he invests his time helping others "lay up treasure in heaven" (Matt. 6:19-21). Founded in 1982, NCF and its 35+ Affiliates across the country currently hold over $1 billion and serve over 7,500 families by providing innovative giving solutions and tools to help them maximize their resources to further Kingdom purposes. David has practiced law since 1988 focusing on the areas of charitable gift planning, exempt organizations (specifically in the public and private foundation arenas), estate planning, and fiduciary related matters.

Wills is the co-author of two books, Investing in God's Business and Family Money, as well as numerous articles and lectures throughout the country. He earned a BBA and a J.D. from Baylor University and completed post-graduate work at Dallas Theological Seminary. David serves on numerous boards, including Generous Giving, Hope for the Heart, Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), and the ProVision Foundation. Originally Texas natives, David and his wife, Chris, live on a farm north of Atlanta with their seven children.

George L. Clark, Jr.

George L. Clark, Jr.
As managing partner with Freestone Partners, George Clark has experience in private equity, sales, marketing, and operations. Prior to co-founding Freestone in 2001, George was president of Northstar Partners, Inc., a consulting firm focused on strategically serving investment groups across the country. Before founding Northstar, George co-founded Investment Services Group, an insurance brokerage/consulting unit with Insurance Concepts. George also spent six years with Best Associates, a Texas-based merchant bank, working both on the investment side and taking significant roles in portfolio companies. George, his wife, Ashley, and their two children live in the Houston area.

 

Tom Conway
Tom Conway serves as the Founder's Associate for Global Development for the Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Development in Atlanta, Georgia. In that role, serving under the Founder, Dr. John Edmund Haggai, he spearheads the development work of Haggai Institute around the world. He oversees the development staff in the U.S. as well as assisting development staff in Asia, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Tom has held numerous ministry and financial service positions with such organizations as Ernst & Young, Campus Crusade for Christ, Ronald Blue and Company, Perimeter Church, Northside Community Church, Generous Giving, Inc., and most recently as the Executive V.P. for Advisor and Ministry Services for the National Christian Foundation. Tom also lived in Africa for a number of years and has traveled extensively in Eastern Europe and Russia.

Tom and his wife Susan have been married for thirty years, have four children and one grandchild and live in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

 
Erik W. Daniels

Erik W. Daniels
Erik Daniels is senior financial advisor for Ronald Blue & Co. with responsibility for providing direct leadership to the firm's Private Client Group. A principal with the firm since 1984, Erik's affiliation with Ronald Blue & Co. dates back to 1980-just one year after the company was founded. Daniels has earned a reputation as a popular financial speaker, bringing an informative and entertaining perspective on money management to national as well as local venues. An active member of the Atlanta community, Erik serves on the boards of such regional and national organizations as the Georgia Family Council, Working Women of America, and Ambassadors for Christ. Prior to joining Ronald Blue & Co. in 1980, Daniels worked as a senior accountant with Blue & Co., a CPA firm based in Indianapolis and originally founded by Ron Blue. He received a BS degree from Indiana University and a Masters in Taxation from Georgia State University. Erik is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Erik and his wife, Sherri, live in Marietta, Georgia. They have four children.

 
Alan Gotthardt

Alan Gotthardt
Alan Gotthardt is president of Polstra & Dardaman, a fee-only private wealth counsel firm in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. A frequent speaker at professional conferences and faith-based events, Gotthardt has also conducted seminars at some of America's largest corporations. He serves on the stewardship strategy team of his church and assists a number of nonprofit organizations on a volunteer basis. He is the author of a book by Tyndale and Generous Giving, The Eternity Portfolio: A Practical Guide to Investing Your Money for Ultimate Results. He and his wife, Melissa, have three children.

 
Peb Jackson

Peb Jackson
Peb Jackson is an executive vice president of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. Previously he held executive positions with Generous Giving, Young Life, and Focus on the Family. Before entering the ministry world, Jackson was president of J.D. Bradley Co., a public relations firm in southern California. He also was director of admissions for Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) and was an executive with the Spartan Oil Co. in southern California. Jackson lives with his wife, Sharon, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 

Scott Melby
Scott Melby received his formal education from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., Wheaton College Graduate School, and Harvard University. He is in the real estate business with Paul H. Johnson, Inc., in Detroit, Michigan. Melby and his wife, Karen, are the parents of five children. They live in the Detroit area and worship at Highland Park Baptist Church.

 
Al Mueller

Al Mueller
Al Mueller currently serves as president & CEO of Excellence in Giving in Colorado Springs. He has provided investment advice to institutions, individuals, and families of significant wealth for more than 20 years. During his career at Morgan Stanley and UBS, Al had responsibility for evaluating and recommending investments in virtually every asset class. His clients relied on his ability to construct and manage portfolios to achieve their investment objectives. Al's professional experience on Wall Street and personal experience as a major donor and board member have prepared him to serve their clients with valuable insight into the effective use of their philanthropic capital. He is a native of California, is a graduate of the University of Arizona and holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Colorado Springs with their three children.

 
Forrest Reinhardt

Forrest Reinhardt
Forrest Reinhardt is the CEO of Venture Beyond and serves as a consultant to families, churches, and ministries, assisting them in the discovery, development, and deployment of kingdom resources. From 1998 to 2006, he served as the executive pastor of strategic resource development at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. His past several years at Saddleback have been focused on global initiatives, public affairs, stewardship ministries, pastoral ministry, property development, operations, and financial administration. His background includes nearly two decades of youth ministry with both Young Life and local churches. He was also on the staff of Family Research Council. He and his wife, Susan, live in Coto de Caza, California with their two children.

 
Michael T.O. Timmis

Michael T.O. Timmis
Michael T.O. Timmis graduated from Marquette University in 1988. Following graduation he spent seven years working in Uganda, East Africa, where he started a number of projects to serve the poor in the spirit of Jesus. These projects include a hospital, a dairy ranch, a primary school, and a boarding high school for orphans. These projects are ongoing and currently serve over 1,000 people daily. He returned to the States in 1995 and earned his MBA at the University of Michigan. Since 1997, he has been involved in the Timmis Family Foundation, which has projects both in the United States and abroad. Timmis is also an executive and personal coach. His firm Evergreen Coaching serves Christian entrepreneurs and executives, people dealing with issues related to wealth, and ministry professionals. He currently sits on the boards of the Collier Pregnancy Center, One by One Leadership Foundation, and Christlife, and he is a regent of Ave Maria University. He is a leader in the evangelical Catholic community. Michael is an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He is married to Laura Timmis, and they have four children and live in Naples, Florida.
