TIPS FOR INVITING

A personal invitation is often the most meaningful. Think about the people in your life who may be encouraged by time set apart to explore biblical generosity.

Begin personally.
Share why COG has been meaningful to you and why you thought specifically of them. A personal email, text, phone call, or conversation is usually more effective than simply forwarding an invitation.

Invite early.
Send a save-the-date first so your guests can hold the weekend. Follow up with the formal invitation when registration opens.

Help them understand COG.
Let them know that the Celebration of Generosity is a gathering centered on biblical generosity. There is no solicitation, fundraising, or request for money.

Share a glimpse of the gathering.
Use the recap video or photos below to help your guests picture the setting, teaching, stories, and community.

Follow up personally.
People are busy, and an unanswered invitation does not always mean “no.” Follow up with a thoughtful email, text, phone call, or invitation to lunch.

Keep us informed.
Please finalize your guest names by February so our team can prepare well for their arrival.
