Our Team & Board

Malissa joined the Generous Giving team in 2025. She is excited about caring for and supporting church’s efforts to share Biblical generosity with their congregations. Malissa gets excited about encouraging and serving church staff and their volunteers, helping them to create impactful and joy filled experiences for their people.

Malissa most recently spent a decade as the leader of Benevolence, Compassion and Stewardship ministries at a large multi-site church. Before her time in ministry, she spent many years as a customer service and call center executive; growing teams, improving process and worked to create standards of excellence and quality throughout the organization.

Malissa grew up in the Chicagoland area. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she earned a degree in Communications and Social Work. Malissa is married to her college sweetheart, Scott for more than 20 years and they have two awesome teenage boys, George and Leo. The Szwiecs live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Malissa enjoys cheering on Wisconsin sports teams with her boys, especially the Brewers, cooking, riding her Peloton and has recently learned how to crochet.
